Hi, I’m Scott Brown, founder and Managing Director of in-house legal recruiters Heriot Brown and I’m also the host of your favourite legal podcast, Lessons I Learned in Law.
This all started out as a bit of a lockdown side hustle for me, but over the past eighteen months, I’ve spoken to nearly thirty brilliant individuals from across the legal world.
They’ve shared their successes and challenges and of course three of the lessons they have learned working in law. These have ranged from everything, from how to build great legal teams, to battling imposter syndrome and how to stay true to your own values in what’s often a demanding profession.
My guests also shared the one thing they wanted to put into the legal room 101 and we then put the vote to you, the listeners, and unsurprisingly, the billable hour was the runaway winner and I’m sure we’ll all agree we can live without that in our lives.
